Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday urged the newly-established State Women Commission to develop a comprehensive program aimed at protecting women's interests and fostering leadership skills. Highlighting the impending implementation of the 'Nari Shakti Vandan' Act, which will reserve one-third of Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly seats for women, Adityanath outlined the importance of the initiative.
To ensure the women of Uttar Pradesh benefit fully, Adityanath stressed the need to develop their leadership abilities. He instructed the commission to formulate an extensive program to meet these objectives.
During a special meeting with the commission's leadership, the Chief Minister discussed its objectives, responsibilities, and rights, alongside ongoing state government efforts for the safety and development of women and girls. He urged the commission to take proactive measures, engage with women across districts, and report feedback to his office to ensure effective communication and coverage of welfare schemes.
