Akhara Parishad Calls for Unadulterated Prasad in Temples

The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad recommends distributing traditional offerings like sugar crystals, cardamom seeds, and dry fruits as prasad to prevent adulteration. The change aims to ensure pure offerings at all temples, following concerns at the Tirupati Balaji Temple. Devotees feeling guilty can purify themselves with Ganga jal or Gomutra.

The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad has called for a reform in the distribution of prasad at Hindu temples, advocating for traditional offerings like sugar crystals, cardamom seeds, and dry fruits.

Mahant Ravindra Puri, president of the Parishad, emphasized that these items are free from adulteration, in contrast to prepared delicacies like laddus.

Puri's statement follows reports of adulteration at the Tirupati Balaji Temple, which has caused widespread dismay among Hindus. He advised those feeling guilty to purify themselves with Ganga jal or Gomutra.
