The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has undertaken a crucial ground penetrating survey at the historic Sun Temple in Konark. Starting Monday, this two-day endeavor aims to uncover any hidden structures or artifacts beneath the ground.

According to Superintendent DB Garnayak of ASI Puri Circle, this survey follows the completion of a technical survey at Lord Jagannath's Ratna Bhandar in Puri.

A three-member team from the Hyderabad-based National Geographical Research Institute (NGRI) conducted the survey, which is part of preparatory work for the upcoming beautification of the 13th-century Sun Temple. The findings will be submitted soon, paving the way for further restoration activities.
