Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday has urged former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to refrain from defending himself amidst the Tirupati laddu adulteration controversy and allow the legal system to address the issue.
These remarks follow Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's recent claims that the previous YSRCP government used substandard ingredients and animal fats for Tirupati laddus, a solemn offering at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.
Kalyan, speaking at the Janasena party office in Mangalagiri, emphasized that alleged irregularities occurred under the TTD Board constituted by Reddy and urged the former CM to permit the new NDA government to pursue the investigation without interference.
