A woman and her fiancé allegedly assaulted at Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar feel a sense of relief after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi listened to her grievances.
She stated that true happiness will come only when justice is served and the seven implicated police personnel are punished. She was accompanied by her father and retired army officers while meeting the chief minister.
Majhi has initiated a judicial inquiry into the alleged torture of an army officer and the sexual assault of his fiancée. The woman highlighted that the CM reassured her of both justice and protection, especially since she has faced threats and police intimidation at her restaurant.
