Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], September 23: Ozone Run 2024, an initiative focused on raising awareness about environmental sustainability and the critical importance of the ozone layer, successfully took place on September 15, 2024, at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. The event saw the participation of over 1,000 people, including families, schools, and community leaders, all united in their effort to champion cleaner roads and eco-friendly practices.
Organized by the founders of Ozone Run in collaboration with Save Water and Nature (SWAN), the event featured three categories: a 2K walk/run, a 5K run, and a 10K timed run. Each category catered to different levels of fitness and age groups, emphasizing that everyone has a role in environmental protection.
The event received support from high-profile guests like Shri Jagadeeswar Goud, MLA Contestant from Serilingampally, and Mr. Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner, who praised the initiative. Corporate sponsors such as Am Green – Greenko Group and several educational institutions also played significant roles in ensuring the event's success, making it more than just a run but a call to action for sustainable change.
