Former TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy has also sought an independent probe under a retired Supreme Court judge. This follows Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's allegation that animal fat was used in the laddus, sparking a political storm.
TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao confirmed the presence of animal fat in lab tests and announced steps to blacklist the contractor. The controversy continues to stir tensions between political parties in the state.
