The 25th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards will take place in Jaipur from March 7 to March 9, 2025, as announced by the show organizers on Sunday.

This announcement precedes the 2024 edition of the awards, which will be held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, for the third consecutive year, beginning September 27.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Rajasthan Tourism Department and IIFA to commemorate the silver jubilee of the IIFA Awards in the state capital next year. The signing ceremony took place at Jaipur's iconic Albert Hall, with Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Commissioner Tourism VP Singh representing the Tourism Department, and Vice President STJ Global Entertainment and Media Suresh Iyer representing IIFA.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari stated that IIFA 2025 will boost tourism in Rajasthan, marking the second time the event will be held in India, the first being in Mumbai in 2019. She highlighted that the event will globally promote the region's culture, history, and destinations, potentially attracting future film shoots and generating job and investment opportunities.

The 2025 ceremony will also debut the IIFA Digital Awards, recognizing excellence in digital entertainment, films, and OTT content. The IIFA serves as a platform for the global promotion of Indian cinema, commanding a wide international and domestic audience interested in Bollywood.

A release mentioned that IIFA25 will feature events celebrating 25 years of Indian cinema, emphasizing its global appeal. The event will culminate in performances by leading celebrities and awards to significant achievers in Indian cinema. Additionally, the awards will offer branding and marketing opportunities for Rajasthan.

The inaugural IIFA Awards were held in 2000 in London, and have since been hosted in 14 countries and 18 cities globally. The 24th IIFA Awards will conclude in Yas Island on September 29.
