Gorakhpur's Gaurav Museum to Showcase Vedic and Historic Eras

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the construction site of Gorakhpur's Gaurav Museum, directing officials to include exhibits on the Vedic period, Ramayana period, Upanishads, Puranas, and Nath tradition. The museum, being built for Rs 21 crore, will also highlight Purvanchal's role in the freedom struggle.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the site of construction of Gorakhpur's Gaurav Museum on Saturday. He directed officials to showcase information about the Vedic period and the Ramayana period in its galleries.

Adityanath emphasized that the museum should also incorporate exhibits related to the Upanishads, Puranas, the Nath tradition, and the Buddha period. He highlighted the importance of reflecting Purvanchal's contribution to the freedom struggle.

The Gaurav Museum, being constructed by the tourism department at a cost of Rs 21 crore on 1.6 acres, aims to attract both domestic and foreign tourists. It will feature an auditorium with a capacity of 250 people, a souvenir shop, a workshop, an audio-visual room, and a cafeteria.
