Leopard Hunt Intensifies in Rajasthan After Three Deaths

The hunt for a leopard, which has allegedly killed three people in Gogunda, Udaipur district, Rajasthan, has intensified.
The deadly predator has yet to be captured, raising concerns among local villagers. Authorities report that a 16-year-old girl was killed on Wednesday, a 50-year-old man on Thursday, and a 40-year-old woman on Friday, all presumed victims of the same animal.
Forest officials have set up five cages in an attempt to capture the leopard, suspected to be hiding in nearby hills. The village remains on edge as rescue teams, including locals and forest rescue personnel, scour the area. Station House Officer Shaitan Singh revealed that a team from the Indian Army, equipped with drone cameras, is aiding the search. Multiple teams from Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Jodhpur are also actively involved, along with Divisional Forest Officer Ajay Chittora and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Naresh Soni.
