Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced on Saturday that his government will consult with Hindu pontiffs, sages, and priests regarding the alleged adulteration of Tirupati laddus with animal fat.
During an NDA legislative party meeting, Naidu accused the previous YSRCP government of compromising the quality of ingredients used in the renowned prasad offered at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. The Tirupati laddu, celebrated for its unique taste, was reportedly made using substandard ingredients and animal fat under the previous administration.
The Chief Minister stated that the government would decide its next steps after consultations with Hinduism experts. Measures will include ritualistic sanitisation of the temple. Highlighting the laddu's significance, Naidu noted that attempts to replicate the prasad in Ayodhya had failed, underlining the laddu's centuries-old legacy.
