Seventy-two aircraft, including frontline fighter jets from the Indian Air Force (IAF), will perform a diverse range of acrobatic manoeuvres and formations over Marina Beach in Chennai on October 6.
The airshow marks part of the celebrations for the IAF's 92nd anniversary, observed annually on October 8. This year's theme, 'Bhartiya Vayu Sena -- Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar' (potent, powerful, and self-reliant), underscores the force’s dedication to securing the nation's airspace.
Chennai residents will witness thrilling performances by IAF’s elite teams including Akash Ganga, Suryakiran, and Sarang, featuring aircraft from the IAF’s inventory such as the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas and heritage planes like Dakota and Harvard. The grand display, open to the public, begins at 11 AM on Marina Beach.
