Global Bio-India 2024 witnessed a pivotal roundtable, hosted by the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) in collaboration with the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). The event brought together over 25 leading biotech experts, policymakers, industry leaders, and investors to explore India's burgeoning biotechnology sector's emerging trends and investment opportunities.

The discussion chaired by Shri Vishwajeet Sahay and co-chaired by Dr. Manish Diwan highlighted the critical need for growth-stage capital for biotech startups. Emphasis was placed on co-investment strategies and mobilizing domestic capital pools to scale biotech ventures successfully.

Key takeaways included the launch of the Fund of Funds (AcE Funds) Booklet, strengthening mentorship programs, enhancing international collaborations, addressing data security concerns, and reinforcing IP and patent protection. The recently approved BioE3 policy and its role in promoting India's biotech industry to a USD 300 billion valuation by 2030 were also discussed.
