President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the crucial role of women in research and development for the nation's social and economic advancement during her speech at the 18th convocation of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT).

She pointed out that 12 out of 20 gold medals were awarded to female students, underscoring the need for equal opportunities in education.

Murmu urged the youth to be instrumental in pushing the country forward, with the goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.
