Tragedy Strikes During Ganpati Immersion in Delhi
A 21-year-old man and his teenage cousin drowned in the Yamuna river in Delhi's Mayur Vihar during Ganpati immersion. Despite ongoing rescue efforts by divers, boats, fire brigade, and NDRF teams, the operation has been hindered by excess water. The victims, Vishal and Tushar, were identified by police.

A 21-year-old man and his teenage cousin drowned in the Yamuna river in Delhi's Mayur Vihar area during Ganpati immersion, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
A senior police officer reported that divers, boats, fire brigade, and NDRF teams were mobilized for a rescue operation. However, the excessive water levels in the Yamuna have hampered the efforts thus far.
Police identified the victims as Vishal, 21, a motorcycle taxi driver from Ghaziabad, and his 18-year-old cousin Tushar.
