A Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo, confirmed on Wednesday that it authorized its brand on pagers that exploded in Lebanon and Syria, resulting in at least nine deaths. The devices were manufactured by BAC Consulting KFT in Budapest.

The explosions, which occurred on Tuesday, targeted Hezbollah members in Lebanon and Syria, leading to accusations from Hezbollah and the Lebanese government that Israel orchestrated the sophisticated remotely-controlled attack.

The affected AR-924 pagers, known for their "rugged" design and long battery life, were allegedly part of a supply chain infiltration, with explosive materials inserted prior to distribution.
