Ayushmann Khurrana Leads Beach Clean-Up Post Ganesh Visarjan

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana took part in a beach cleanliness initiative at Versova Chowpatty following the Ganesh Visarjan celebrations. The event, which aimed to promote environmental responsibility, saw participation from high-profile figures like Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Rahul Narwekar, Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, and Niranjan Hiranandani, Managing Director of the Hiranandani Group.

During the clean-up, Khurrana not only joined in the effort but also entertained the volunteers by singing his popular track 'Paani Da Rang' alongside Amruta Fadnavis. The act was well-received as it underscored the event's dual focus on environmental action and community engagement.

Niranjan Hiranandani stressed the importance of collective action, commenting, "We have to keep Mumbai clean. The Prime Minister is cleaning the country, and local Mumbaikars need to do their part. It is good that the children also participated today." Sharing similar views, Khurrana expressed his optimism about the younger generation taking the lead in environmental efforts.

"Today, it feels like our India has awakened. We have only one planet to live on. We cannot survive without Earth, but Earth can exist without human beings," he said. Amruta Fadnavis added, "The message is that cleanliness is next to godliness. The only way to ensure progress in the future is to not spread garbage."

The initiative is a testament to the increasing engagement of celebrities and local leaders in environmental preservation, focusing on the vital role of individual responsibility in maintaining clean and sustainable surroundings. Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana is set to star in ace director Meghna Gulzar's new film 'Daayra' alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, produced by Junglee Pictures.
