Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Honors Journalists with Anil Kumar Award

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari honored four senior journalists with the Anil Kumar Award for Excellence in Journalism 2023-24 at a ceremony in Nagpur. The recipients were Vivek Deshpande, Ramu Bhagwat, Shrimant Mane, and Ram Bhakre. The award, in memory of Anil Kumar, is presented by Vidarbha Gaurav Pratishthan and NUWJ.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday conferred the prestigious Anil Kumar Award for Excellence in Journalism 2023-24 upon four distinguished journalists at a notable function in Nagpur.

The honored journalists include Vivek Deshpande, formerly with Indian Express, Ramu Bhagwat, the retired Times of India journalist, Shrimant Mane, Editor of Lokmat Vidarbha, and Ram Bhakre of Loksatta.

This accolade, established in remembrance of the renowned pre-Independence journalist, poet, and writer Anil Kumar, is jointly awarded by the Vidarbha Gaurav Pratishthan and the Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ).
