Two men were rescued from drowning off the coast of Bandra in western Mumbai by quick-acting police personnel, an official confirmed on Friday.

The incident occurred on Thursday, prompting immediate action from Khar police station's assistant sub-inspector Raju Gaikwad, head constable Vikas Babar, and constables Ramesh Walvi and Mokashi, who reached Carter Road, plunged into the sea, and saved the men. CPR was administered and the victims were admitted to Bhabha hospital for further care.

Their heroic efforts garnered commendation from Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, who highlighted the team's bravery in a post on the department's official social media handle.
