Irish designer Paul Costelloe took fashionistas on a journey to a fantasy Paris at London Fashion Week. The 79-year-old mainly used four pastel colors—blue, pink, yellow, and green—introducing his new bridal line in a collection called 'Le ciel est bleu.' The show featured blue ensembles, tweed dresses, and playful jacquard frocks set against a Parisian boulevard backdrop.

Costelloe described the collection as 'very young,' reflecting his experiences in Paris's couture world of the late sixties and early seventies, where he grew up. Floral prints and ruffles added a touch of whimsy to his designs. Turkish-born designer Bora Aksu drew inspiration from his mother, presenting layered feminine looks with intricate embroidery and colorful palettes. Aksu's collection also featured tailored jackets with puffy or patterned shoulders and lace dresses.

London Fashion Week, marking its 40th anniversary, kicked off with a new collection by high street retailer H&M featuring singer Charli XCX. The event, set to run until September 17, will feature shows from prominent labels such as Burberry, Erdem, and Simone Rocha. The British Fashion Council's CEO, Caroline Rush, highlighted the event's reputation for creativity and freedom of expression.
