Chad McQueen, widely recognized for his roles in the "Karate Kid" movies and as the son of the legendary actor and race car driver Steve McQueen, has passed away at the age of 63.

According to his attorney and friend Arthur H Barens, McQueen died on Wednesday, although the cause of death was not disclosed. His wife Jeanie and children Chase and Madison shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, expressing their sorrow and remembering his impactful life.

"His remarkable journey as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication," their statement read. "His passion for racing not only highlighted his exceptional talent but also served as a way to honor his father's legacy, a testament to the values instilled in him."

Beyond his notable acting career, including his role as Dutch in the original "Karate Kid" movies, McQueen took a turn towards racing. He eventually founded McQueen Racing, a business focusing on custom cars and motorcycles, which is now managed by his children. Despite leaving acting behind, McQueen's dedication to racing, including competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona, remained strong until injuries sidelined him.

Chad McQueen leaves behind his wife Jeanie, and three children—Chase, Madison, and Steven, an actor known for "The Vampire Diaries." His death marks the end of an era, but his legacy in both film and racing continues to inspire.
