Raam Reddy's 'The Fable', starring Manoj Bajpayee, is the sole Indian film competing at the SEMINCI film festival in Valladolid, Spain. Known for its world premiere at the 74th Berlin Film Festival, the movie is part of the prestigious Meeting Point Official Selection Competition running from October 18 to 26.

Also contending in the category are 'Blue Sun Palace' by Constance Tsang, 'Familiar Touch' by Sarah Friedland, 'A Universal Language' by Mathew Rankin, 'Toxic' by Saule Bliuvaite, and Jia Zhangke's 'Caught by the Tides'. These selections focus on fictions destined to be revelations of the season. 'The Fable' aims for top honors including the Meeting Point Best Feature Award and the 'Pilar Miró' Award for Best New Director.

Reflecting on the production journey, Bajpayee highlighted the COVID-related challenges faced, including a year-long hiatus and subsequent filming under strict protocols. The actor is enthusiastic about the film's reception at SEMINCI following its successful Berlin debut. Director Reddy expressed excitement about being featured alongside influential filmmakers. The film, a US-Indian co-production, features a notable cast including Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose, and Tillotama Shome, and follows Dev's discovery of mysterious fires on his Himalayan estate.
