Union Minister Launches 'Rangeen Machhli' App for Ornamental Fisheries

The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture has launched the 'Rangeen Machhli' mobile app to support fish farmers and aquarium shop owners with crucial information about ornamental fisheries. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh inaugurated the app, which offers multi-lingual content, educational modules, and a dynamic directory of aquarium shops.

The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) has unveiled the 'Rangeen Machhli' mobile app, aiming to provide essential information on ornamental fisheries to fish farmers and aquarium shop owners.

The app, launched by Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Rajiv Ranjan Singh, is supported by the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).

Offering information in eight Indian languages, the app also features a dynamic directory of nearby aquarium shops and educational modules covering topics from aquarium care to fish breeding, enhancing users' knowledge and supporting local businesses.
