Kendrick Lamar, the renowned rapper and songwriter, unveiled a new song titled 'Watch the Party Die' through his Instagram handle on Friday, according to a report by Variety. The five-minute track mentions figures such as Lecrae, Terrace Martin, and DJ Akademiks, and features scathing lyrics aimed at the music industry. 'The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary / Let me know when they turn up as a casualty,' Lamar declares in the song.

The track also alludes to the ongoing feud with fellow rapper Drake, with lines like, 'Just walked that man down, that'll do everyone a solid / It's love but tough love, sometimes you gotta result in violence.' This release comes on the heels of Lamar's exceptional success with 'Not Like Us,' which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in May and dominated multiple other charts, including Hot Rap Songs and Streaming Songs.

In other news, Lamar is also set to perform at the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, marking his second appearance at the halftime event following his 2022 performance with Dr. Dre's all-star lineup. 'Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,' Lamar stated regarding the halftime gig. 'And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.' The event will be produced by DPS in collaboration with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, with Hamish Hamilton directing, as reported by Variety.
