Actor Hugh Grant shared his skepticism about participating in certain big-budget projects and explained his reasons for rejecting some roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Grant noted, "I've turned down a few that I thought were insufficient in quality or lacked independence for the filmmakers. It felt like a big corporation was looming over them, and I didn't want to make that decision."

Grant added, "I asked blunt questions and quizzed the directors. You can tell early on if there's significant pushback from noncreative executives, even if you have initial ideas about the part before signing up. This lack of market research seemed to be a major flaw; essentially, people didn't want to see a film about this game without any public input."

Discussing his upcoming project, Grant is set to reprise his role as Daniel Cleaver in the fourth 'Bridget Jones' film, 'Mad About the Boy'. Initially, Grant was not very excited about his role. He had declined an offer for the 2016 film 'Bridget Jones's Baby' because he couldn't fit his character into the story. However, the script for the latest installment moved him deeply. "I loved the script -- it made me cry, and I wanted to be part of this one. There's no real part for Daniel Cleaver in it, but they wanted him in, and in the end, they included something I wasn't crazy about," Grant shared. He even wrote some scenes that made it into the movie. "It's the best Bridget Jones book, very funny and moving. I'm not in it much, just a week's work, but you'll be very moved when you see the film."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grant will be joined by Renee Zellweger, Emma Thompson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Leo Woodall in the film. (ANI)
