Jaypore and Krishna Mehta Collaborate to Celebrate Indian Artisanal Heritage

Jaypore, India's premier curator of handmade and artisanal products under Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., has joined hands with celebrated designer Krishna Mehta to launch a new collection celebrating India's cultural heritage through a contemporary lens. The launch event at Jaypore's Phoenix Palladium store was a cultural tribute rather than a standard fashion showcase, leaving attendees with a deep appreciation for the artisans' craftsmanship.

Notable figures such as actress and folk-pop singer Ila Arun graced the event, adding an air of significance. Hosting duties were performed by actress and model Suchitra Pillai, who adeptly narrated the story behind the collection, making the evening both informative and engaging. One of the highlights was a live demonstration by master artisan Kundan Singh Bisht, who showed the intricate process of hand block printing, leaving guests mesmerized by the transformation of raw fabrics into detailed designs.

Radhika Chhabra, Creative Head at Jaypore, emphasized the brand's mission to bring India's rich artisanal legacy to the forefront. Designer Krishna Mehta echoed this sentiment, calling the collaboration a tribute to India's textile heritage. The collection, available in Jaypore stores and online, features elegant, versatile women's wear designed to blend tradition with modernity, utilizing luxurious fabrics like Chanderi silk, intricate block prints, and hand embroidery.
