Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jon Bon Jovi and a video production assistant successfully persuaded a woman on the ledge of a pedestrian bridge in Nashville to come back over the railing to safety.
The incident occurred Tuesday on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge spanning the Cumberland River.
The Tennessean reported that Bon Jovi was in the middle of filming a music video on the bridge, which remained accessible to the public during the shoot.
Video footage posted on YouTube, though later taken down, showed the assistant engaging with the distressed woman while the Grammy-winning artist approached cautiously, waved, and joined the conversation.
Ultimately, the woman turned to face the two, allowing them to help her back over the railing. Bon Jovi proceeded to talk to and hug the woman.
A representative for the singer stated that Bon Jovi would not be commenting on the incident.
