Taylor Swift and Post Malone captured the first award of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards for best collaboration. The honor was presented by Flavor Flav and Olympian Jordan Chiles.

Swift started her acceptance speech by honoring 9/11 victims before lauding Malone, calling him music's favorite collaborator.

Women dominated the show, highlighted by Chappell Roan's imaginative medieval-themed performance and Katy Perry's career-spanning medley. Iconic performances by Eminem, Megan Thee Stallion, and Shawn Mendes added star power to the night.

The 40th VMAs, held at UBS Arena, featured a star-studded lineup. Swift, who leads the nominations with 12, including eight for her “Fortnight” video, aims to surpass Beyoncé's VMA record. Winning would also amplify her endorsement of Kamala Harris.
