Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan affirmed on Wednesday that socio-economic progress and the upliftment of rural India, with a special focus on the Northeast, remain top priorities of the Centre. This aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a 'Vikshit Bharat'.
Embarking on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh, the Minister of State for Rural Development highlighted the importance of generating widespread awareness about central schemes. This ensures that the benefits from these schemes reach the targeted rural beneficiaries, facilitating housing, livelihood, skill development, and economic opportunities. Paswan specifically emphasized the 'Lakhpati Didi' Yojana under the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), aimed at economically empowering rural women.
During a review meeting in East Siang district, Paswan, along with Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao and local MLAs, assessed the status of various centrally sponsored schemes, including PMAY(G) and PMGSY III.
