Mumbai police reported that the death of actor-model Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, appears to be a suicide based on preliminary evidence. DCP Crime Branch, Raj Tilak Roshan, stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem, and investigations are being conducted from all angles.

"The body of Anil Mehta, aged 62, was found in his residence on the sixth floor. A thorough investigation is being carried out by both police and forensic teams," Roshan informed. "Prima facie, it seems to be a suicide, but we are looking into every detail." At the time of her father's death, Malaika Arora was in Pune but returned to Mumbai upon hearing the news.

Following the news, her ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, also arrived at the residence. Several police officials are currently present on the spot, and more details are awaited in this ongoing investigation.
