Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has been in the spotlight due to marital issues with his wife, Aarti Ravi. Aarti took to Instagram on Wednesday morning, expressing her disappointment over the divorce announcement, which she claims was made without her knowledge.

"I was deeply shocked and saddened by the recent public announcement regarding our marriage, which was made without my knowledge or consent. After 18 years of shared history, such a significant matter should be handled with grace, respect, and privacy," said Aarti. She further revealed that she and her children were blindsided by the announcement.

Aarti stated she had sought opportunities to discuss the matter directly with her husband. "Sadly, that opportunity was not afforded to me, leaving both my children and me completely blindsided. The decision to walk out of our marriage is purely one-sided and does not benefit our family," she added. She also mentioned that the truth would emerge soon.

Jayam Ravi addressed the issue via his X handle on September 9, explaining that the decision to part ways was made after much thought and discussion. "This decision stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved," he stated. Ravi requested privacy during this challenging time.

The news of their separation follows months of rumors, especially after Aarti deleted photos of the couple from her Instagram. Married in 2009, the couple has two sons, Aarav and Ayaan.
