Renowned actors Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson have joined the cast of the live-action series 'Noir,' an adaptation of the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir.

Hollywood heavyweight Nicolas Cage is set to reprise his role as the titular character, following his voice performance in Sony's Oscar-winning animated film 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.'

According to Variety, Huston and Gleeson will join a distinguished cast that includes Lamorne Morris, Abraham Popoola, and Li Jun Li. Announced by MGM+ and Prime Video in May, the series is scheduled to premiere on the MGM+ linear channel in the US, followed by a global release on Prime Video.

'Noir' will follow an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator living in 1930s New York, forced to confront his past as the city's sole superhero. Harry Bradbeer, known for 'Fleabag' and 'Killing Eve,' is set to direct and executive produce the first two episodes.

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot will co-showrun the series, developed with the creative team behind 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'—Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. 'Noir' is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
