Filmmaker TJ Gnanavel has partnered with Junglee Pictures for his upcoming feature film "Dosa King," which will depict the rise and fall of Saravana Bhavan founder P Rajagopal.

Gnanavel, known for the critically-acclaimed film "Jai Bhim," collaboratively writes "Dosa King" with Hemanth Rao. Set on a grand scale, the film draws from the shocking crime and subsequent 18-year legal battle of the restaurant mogul, P. Rajagopal.

The movie will chronicle Rajagopal's obsession with Jeevajothi, the daughter of his former employee. Gnanavel, who followed Jeevajothi's story for years, seeks to present a deeper, untold perspective on the case. The director's motivation comes from his firsthand experience with the case as a journalist, aiming to shed light on how the system functions.

Amrita Pandey, CEO of Junglee Pictures, describes "Dosa King" as a thrilling narrative with drama and entertainment. The film promises a cinematic experience with powerful twists and turns, made possible through extensive research by Gnanavel and Rao.
