On the previous day, photographs of Deepika making her way to the hospital became viral on social media. The couple also visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple on Ganesh Chaturthi to seek blessings before welcoming their first child.

They first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic drama 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' and went on to star in 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat'.
