Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has instructed officials to fast-track the completion of multiple development projects in Kangra district's Dehra Assembly constituency.
During his one-day visit to the area, Sukhu reviewed the region's development priorities and underscored the importance of transforming Kangra into the state's 'tourism capital.' Several key projects have been proposed for the Dehra constituency as part of this broader initiative.
Among the significant projects, the Chief Minister highlighted the necessity of resolving Forest Department issues to construct a government college building in Dehra. He also pushed for the expedited construction of a zoological park at Bankhandi and the development of infrastructure around Pong Dam to boost tourism. Additionally, officials were tasked with identifying other potential tourist sites in the region.
