Nuakhai, an important agrarian festival in Odisha, has garnered greetings from prominent leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The festival, predominantly celebrated in western Odisha, signifies the offering of the first crop to the goddess, reflecting gratitude towards farmers.

The festival highlights Odisha's rich cultural traditions. President Murmu, a native of Odisha, expressed her heartfelt wishes, emphasizing the festival's role in bringing happiness and prosperity. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi marked the occasion by launching the CM Kisan Yojana and participating in 'Nuakhai Bhetghat' programmes.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik also extended their greetings. The celebrations include wearing new clothes, worshipping presiding deities, and communal feasting, reinforcing social bonds and the region's ancient customs.
