The United States is eager to collaborate with India on tackling significant global challenges, including healthcare, clean energy, and climate change, according to Nisha Desai Biswal, Deputy CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Biswal, who is set to visit India this week, emphasized the importance of the US-India partnership in solving global problems. She noted that India plays a vital role in these efforts, particularly in areas such as climate change and healthcare.
During her four-day visit, Biswal aims to explore how the DFC can support the objectives of the US-India Strategic Partnership. She highlighted that the DFC has invested over USD 3.8 billion in active projects in India, primarily under the Biden administration, focusing on sectors like infrastructure, manufacturing, health, and clean technology diversification.
