The Students' Federation of India (SFI) unit at Delhi University has established a 50-member election committee in preparation for the September 27 students union polls.

In a strategic move, SFI announced their intention to contest for positions on the central panel of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) and field candidates in 12 DU colleges.

SFI criticized the current ABVP-led DUSU, labeling it as ineffective and inattentive to student concerns. Their manifesto includes key promises such as securing hostel accommodations for all, introducing concessional metro passes for students, and advocating for the rollback of the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) model of education.
