'Rang Shasthi,' a festival staged at the National School of Drama's (NSD) Abhimanch auditorium, marks the 60th anniversary of the NSD Repertory Company. Esteemed plays like 'Laila Majnu,' directed by Padma Shri awardee Ram Gopal Bajaj, and 'Taj Mahal Ka Tender,' by NSD director Chittaranjan Tripathy, were highlights.
'Laila Majnu' depicted the timeless poetry of love and separation, while 'Taj Mahal ka Tender' humorously critiqued India's bureaucratic hurdles. Starting on Friday and running through Sunday, 'Taj Mahal Ka Tender' also celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Offering a rich cultural experience, the festival aims to foster stronger bonds among theatre schools and deepen audiences' appreciation of performing arts. The festival marks the commencement of a two-year global tour for the Repertory Company.
