Despite receding floodwaters in several parts of Vijayawada, recent rainfall and a third breach in the Budameru rivulet have caused renewed flooding in parts of the city.

Mohammed Ilyas, a local resident and flood victim, expressed frustration as families returning to salvage belongings were forced to leave again due to rising water levels.

The floods, exacerbated by continuous water flow from the unresolved Budameru breach, have caused significant property damage and displacement. Protesters demand permanent solutions and adequate relief as officials conduct surveys and meteorologists predict further disturbances.
