Hong Kong Cyclothon 2024: Cycling, Carnival & Charity in One Exciting Event

Hong Kong's most anticipated cycling event, the SHKP Hong Kong Cyclothon, is set to return on October 13, 2024. Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), this year's event will feature an exhilarating sports-themed carnival format that will appeal to both local residents and international visitors.

The Cyclothon will offer two major cycling routes: a challenging 50 km ride that now includes four tunnels and three bridges, and a scenic 32 km ride offering views from iconic landmarks like the Ting Kau Bridge and Stonecutters Bridge. Notably, a special segment of Salisbury Road will be open for families and children aged six or above to participate alongside their parents.

The event will culminate in a grand carnival at the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), featuring sports activities, local food and drink stalls, photo-worthy installations, and a cycling-themed market. The HKTB aims to leverage this event to promote Hong Kong as a prime destination for sports and leisure tourism.
