BCCI's 93rd AGM And NCA Inauguration: Key Highlights
The BCCI's 93rd Annual General Body Meeting will occur on September 29, coinciding with the opening of the new National Cricket Academy. Although a new BCCI secretary won't be elected at this summit, discussions will set a date for the Special General Meeting. Key appointments and routine activities are also on the agenda.
The BCCI's 93rd Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) will convene on September 29. However, the high-stakes election for the new board secretary is not slated to happen at this summit.
The meeting will take place alongside the opening of the National Cricket Academy's (NCA) state-of-the-art center on the city's outskirts, ensuring the presence of all board members in town. Currently, the NCA operates from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium premises, where it has been based for over two decades.
While the AGM won't see the election of a new BCCI secretary, the date for a Special General Meeting (SGM) to address this could be set. Incumbent secretary Jay Shah, who was unanimously elected as ICC Chairman, will not relinquish his BCCI role yet, as he assumes his new position on December 1.
