Katha is thrilled to announce the return of Katha Utsav for 2024, continuing its 35-year tradition of nurturing young writers and readers. This festival provides a platform for children from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds to express their creativity through storytelling.

The festival aims to break down cultural and language barriers, fostering an inclusive environment where young storytellers can thrive. Katha Utsav has been a pivotal event since 1988, bringing stories to life through more than 800 titles in 10 Indian languages, reaching over 10 million children.

This year, the contest is open to children in grades 4 to 12, with submission deadlines set for September 12, 2024. Participants will engage in live workshops, and the best writers will qualify for the Katha Utsav Finale, a three-day event featuring authors, illustrators, and theatre personalities.
