Several stars from Tinsel Town gathered to show their support for Ananya Panday and the team of 'Call Me Bae' at a special screening in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The red carpet was graced by filmmaker Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya. Ananya's parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday, were also in attendance, posing alongside their daughter.

Sara Ali Khan was spotted among the guests as well. The event coincided with the release of a trailer promising a mix of comedy and emotion.

The trailer introduces viewers to Bae's opulent lifestyle in New Delhi, which quickly unravels when she is disowned by her family. The action then moves to the busy streets of Mumbai, where Bae struggles to find her footing. Set to upbeat music, the trailer teases Bae's transition from a life of luxury to the challenges of navigating public transportation and a new career as a journalist.

Reflecting on her role, Ananya said in a note shared by Prime Video, "From the start, I knew 'Call Me Bae' was a project I wanted to be part of. Even before hearing the script, I felt it was special." She added, "Bae is a multi-layered character who faces numerous challenges while staying true to herself. This authenticity drew me to the role. It's my first long format original series, and I couldn't have asked for a better director than Collin or a more supportive cast. I'm excited to introduce Bae to worldwide audiences from September 6."

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers, the series is directed by Collin D'Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra. The series, co-written by Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, will be available on Prime Video from September 6.
