Sony LIV has announced the premiere of its latest true crime series, 'Manvat Murders,' set to stream from October 4.

The series is based on the autobiographical work 'Footprints on the Sand of Crime' by CID officer Ramakant S Kulkarni. This Marathi thriller recounts a series of enigmatic murders that plagued rural Maharashtra in the 1970s.

Directed by Ashish Bende and produced by Mahesh Kothare and Adinath Kothare, the show features Ashutosh Gowariker as Kulkarni, recounting his efforts to solve the case within critical, time-sensitive hours. The series also stars Makarand Anaspure, Sonali Kulkarni, and Sai Tamhankar.
