The Bengaluru Police on Wednesday submitted a 3991-page chargesheet against 17 individuals linked to the Renukaswamy murder case. Among the accused is Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda stated the investigation was thorough and considered all perspectives. The chargesheet, which comprises 231 witness statements, was presented to the 24th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court.

Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda, leading to his murder. The actor, along with his friend Pavithra and 15 others, are in judicial custody. The murder occurred in a shed in R R Nagar where the victim was reportedly tortured and killed. Post-mortem reports indicate that he died from shock and haemorrhage due to multiple blunt injuries.
