Actor Anya Taylor-Joy has voiced her interest in embodying Princess Elsa in a live-action version of Disney's beloved animated musical 'Frozen'.
Recently seen in George Miller's 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Story', Taylor-Joy spoke to Vogue Hong Kong about her admiration for Elsa, originally voiced by Idina Menzel in the animated films. 'I think Frozen would be pretty great. It would be very fun to shoot ice out of your hand,' Taylor-Joy said. 'Also, you'd just be the favourite at every kid's birthday party. All of my siblings have children now, so I would love for them to be able to say, 'My auntie is Elsa.' That would be pretty sick.'
Taylor-Joy, celebrated for her performances in 'Split', 'The Witch', 'The Northman', and Netflix's 'The Queen's Gambit', expressed her yearning to undertake a musical role, calling it a thrilling and challenging endeavor. Disney announced at the recent D23 event that 'Frozen 3' is set for a theatrical release on November 24, 2027.
