Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming sci-fi thriller film 'Renner.'
Directed, written, and produced by Robert Rippberger, the film features Harden alongside Frankie Muniz, Violett Beane, and Taylor Gray. Harden will voice Salenus, an AI companion designed by the character Renner, played by Muniz. The story, co-written by Martin Medina and Luke Medina, follows Renner as he courts new neighbor Jamie, only to realize his AI contains a manipulative version of his mother.
Rippberger, known for 'Those Who Walk Away' and 'Public Enemy Number One,' expressed his honor in having Harden on board. He emphasized her contribution to the film's themes and the role of AI in shaping Hollywood. Producers include Medina, KT Kent, Devin Keaton, and Jay Burnley of Slated.
Harden's previous credits include 'Pollock,' 'Mystic River,' and the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' franchise, with an Academy Award win for her role in 'Pollock.'
