In a tragic incident, the body of William Michael Reynolds, a 36-year-old US citizen, was discovered in his hotel room at a five-star establishment in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotia, there were no signs of struggle at the scene. The post-mortem report is keenly awaited to determine the exact cause of death.

Reynolds, who hailed from Chicago, had been staying at the hotel since August 30 and was due to check out on Monday. He was found dead when the hotel staff entered the room after a visitor reported that Reynolds wasn’t answering the door. Initial suspicions point to a heart attack as the cause of death, but more information will be confirmed post post-mortem. Authorities have disclosed that Reynolds was on a tourist visa.
