Air Marshal Tejinder Singh and Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit Assume New Roles in IAF

Air Marshal Tejinder Singh took over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the IAF, while Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit assumed the role of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command. Both officers bring extensive experience and have been recognized for their meritorious services.

Air Marshal Tejinder Singh took over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday, following a ceremony at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan). He paid homage to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.

An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Tejinder Singh was commissioned in the fighter stream of the IAF on June 13, 1987, and has amassed over 4,500 hours of flying experience. His career includes commanding various units and holding key staff appointments, including roles in Operational Staff and Aerospace Safety.

In recognition of his meritorious services, Singh was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal in 2007 and the Ati Vishist Seva Medal in 2022. On the same day, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit assumed the position of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command. Dixit, also a decorated officer, has participated in several operations and exercises and has more than 3,300 flying hours.
